Dias Learning is TILE (Toronto International Language Exchange)’s  award-winning sister company, co-founded by former public school French teacher John Dias and his late father Frank Dias in 2020.

Across Canada, demand for French education continues to soar, yet schools face a significant shortage of qualified French teachers. Moreover, students struggle in French classes due to outdated teaching methods, limited classroom resources, or unequal access to quality support.

Dias Learning was founded with a simple belief: every student deserves the opportunity to succeed in French education.

Making French Education Fun, Inclusive, and Accessible

Dias Learning develops innovative educational resources that make French learning more engaging and inclusive for students and more manageable for teachers.

Our growing collection of resources includes:

  • Creative classroom activities

  • Interactive learning magazines that combine movement, arts, and play

  • Teacher lesson plans & curriculum resources

  • Educational games, books & magazines

  • Study tools and practice materials

  • Tutoring services

  • Workshops and educational programming

  • Community events for learners and families

Our materials are thoughtfully designed to support students with diverse learning styles, including those who benefit from hands-on, visual, and kinesthetic learning approaches.

Rather than requiring students to practice grammar drills and memorize vocabulary in isolation, we create practical experiences that help them build confidence, communicate naturally, and develop a lifelong appreciation for French.

A More Equitable Future for French Education

Given that French is one of Canada’s two official languages, we believe that learning French should be engaging, empowering, and accessible for all Canadians.

Dias Learning proudly collaborates with schools, libraries, camps, community organizations, universities, and aspiring educators to strengthen French education across Canada. Through partnerships, innovative educational technology, and evidence-informed teaching practices, we are working to make high-quality French instruction available in every classroom.

Our vision is to build a future where every learner has the opportunity to thrive, every educator has the resources they need to succeed, and every child can experience the lifelong benefits of bilingualism.
